As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility programme at Madinat Jumeirah, we wanted not only to save the environment but also help the community.
After a careful evaluation of how Madinat Jumeirah colleagues could help the community best, we ascertained that labourers are one of the neediest groups in our local society. That's why we decided to work together with Helping Hands UAE and help them to enhance labourers' nutrition and living conditions.
On every last Sunday of the month Jumeirah colleagues are collecting dry food items, and on every last Monday of the month old t-shirts, in the colleague cafeterias of Madinat Jumeirah.

In our first monthly collections during April and May we collected: More than 220 T shirts, 17 kilos sugar, 8 kilos of Tang, 1000 Tea bags, 125 packets of noodles, 8 kilos of lentils, a large variety of canned meat, fish and vegetables, dried biscuits, cereals and rice.

Madinat Jumeirah also donated more than 500 towels from the resort which were collected with the above by Helping Hands UAE and distributed on our behalf to labourers in the UAE.
